ABOUT US

Myself Sam, my wife Dani and our three homeschooled kids are based in Maungaturoto. As a family we are passionate about farming, the outdoors, fishing, working hard and working together.

I've come from large farms in South Canterbury where there are more on farm facilities to carry out hoof maintenance, and moved here to Northland where farms are generally smaller and the facilities aren't as readily available. From this I saw the need to share my knowledge and skills, with over 15 years in the industry and having taken pride in healthy hooves. I understand the need for service providers to be reliable yet flexible and am always up for a yarn. I have experience in conventional as well as organic farming preferring a more holistic, preventative approach.

Services

We service from Auckland to Cape Reinga and throughout, from small scale lifestyles up to large scale dairy. Our mobile WOPA crush can be set up in most environments and we are able to treat roughly 6 cows an hour

Treatment of Lame Cows

When a cow is lame it is vital to have them treated as soon as possible. What starts as a minor issue could lead to a major infection + weeks of reduced production

Routine Preventative Trims

We recommend preventative trimming of overgrown hooves, This drastically decreases lameness throughout the season, improving cow health + production
